David has a wealth of experience having worked in Private Client for over 18 years. He is an extremely hardworking and focused with a passion to assist vulnerable clients.

Experience
David has a wealth of experience having worked as a fee-earner in Private Client for over 14 years with a varied caseload. He specialises in taxable and non-taxable estate administration, including dealing with any irregularities and defects in Wills when obtaining a Grant of Probate. He has vast experience dealing with all Court of Protection matters to include the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney, the completion of and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney, Property and Financial and Health and Welfare, Deputyship applications and Statutory Wills. He also deals with the management of Elderly and Vulnerable clients’ financial affairs.

In addition to the above, David deals with Living Wills/advance directives and drafts Wills of varying complexity including Wills with Life interest and Discretionary trusts.

He has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) for over 20 years.  He has been awarded the CILEX Certificate in Law and Practice (Elderly Client Practice), SFE Older Client Care in Practice Award and more recently the SFE Older Client Law in Practice Award to become a Full Accredited Professional Member of Solicitors For the Elderly (SFE).

What don’t you know about Dave
He is a married father to a 9-year old daughter and stepfather to a 21-year old stepson. His wife is a Head Teacher of a local infant and Junior School working very long hours so most of his time in the evening is spent cooking and cleaning.
In his spare time, he enjoys going to the cinema, days out with his wife and daughter, and relaxing in his garden. He also tries to travel up to Birmingham (his place of birth) every couple of months with his daughter to visit his parents, both of whom are from Ireland. He goes back to Ireland with his daughter every year with his mother to visit relations.
David and his father also try to get up to Glasgow at least twice a year to support the football club they both support passionately: Glasgow Celtic FC.
