Sussex Community Foundation – Three examples of how local philanthropy can transform lives?

This registered charity's latest report - Reaching Potential www.sussexcommunityfoundation.org/report/reaching-potential looks at the challenges faced around education and employment in Sussex. The findings are surprising and concerning, demonstrating how much the charity sector is needed. Here are 3 examples of how local philanthropy can transform lives:

1. My Sister's House

The only women's centre in West Sussex supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable women at risk of domestic abuse and/or in need of welfare and wellbeing support.

2. Chichester HEART for the Homeless

Supporting the local homeless and vulnerably-housed community, offering hot meals, clothing, toiletries and other essentials, as well as emotional support through outreach workers and volunteers.

3. The 38 Club

This group runs weekly clubs in Bognor for young people, offering positive, interactive activities such as sports, art and music.
