Erin's legal apprenticeship success

The wealth of knowledge and experience I have accrued since being a Legal Apprentice at Owen Kenny is unparalleled. Working alongside studying, as opposed to the traditional university route, was the better option for how I personally work. I work four days a week where I support a fee earner's caseload as well as manage my own caseload to some extent. I then dedicate one day a week to my studying. This involves webinars, training sessions and completing assignments to progress me through my current qualification. As an apprentice you can utilise the knowledge of the professionals around you, gaining firsthand experience of what working in the law is like. Once a week, I pick an area of the law I feel further knowledge in would better equip me in my role, and the fee-earner I work under will provide a training session on this. Professional relations and connections are another key reason as to why the apprenticeship route is beneficial. The connections I have made in the infancy of my legal career, not to mention the ones I am yet to make, have furnished my reputation in the legal industry from the get-go of my training. I am excited for what the future holds on my apprenticeship and look forward to welcoming further apprentices into our team at Owen Kenny.
